The winery, the suites, the restaurant.

Capanna Suites is one of the two new crown jewels of the historic Capanna winery, together with the gourmet restaurant, Il Passaggio. We decided to create a special place for people to access this amazing region that combines perfectly with our production of Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Rosso di Montalcino DOC, Moscadello di Montalcino DOC, Sant’Antimo DOC, grappa and extra virgin olive oil.

Our doors are open to the world

Alongside our wine production we offer tourist accommodations in our agriturismo, Capanna Suites, and a dining experience in our restaurant, Il Passaggio. These two activities allow us to open our doors to the world. This choice we made represents an incredible opportunity for guests who are passionate about good food and wine to really delve into the heart of our land, culture, and traditions.

A not-to-be-missed stop

Our wine cellar, located on the hill just across from Capanna Suites, is a not-to-be-missed stop for our guests. The hospitality staff are always ready to welcome wine lovers and guide them through a tasting experience or add to their knowledge of the incredible regional wines. Guests who would like to bring our products home with them, to be able to add to their private wine collections, will be offered special, rare and exclusive deals on all our products including our most prized vintages.

Capanna winery

Capanna currently has 20 hectares of vineyards planted in bilateral spurred cordon with Sangiovese, Merlot, and Pinot Grigio grapevines selected from the very best clones and ancient white Moscato rootstock dating back to the 16th century.

The story of our family

Capanna was founded in 1957 by Grandfather Giuseppe Cencioni in order to break free from the mezzadria sharecropping system.

Agriturismo: land, work, results

We chose to create a luxury agriturismo to offer our guests a way to enter into and experience our world. The scope and size of this type of activity seemed to us like the best way to express our long and very close relationship with agriculture, nature, hard work, and the products that the earth blesses us with.
