Capanna Suites was born from a historic wine estate in Montalcino — a place where the land has always guided every decision. This deep connection has shaped an eco-conscious philosophy that now inspires everything we do, from winemaking to hospitality.

Respect for the environment is a concrete commitment. In summer 2025, we activated a 200 kW solar power system, moving steadily toward energy self-sufficiency.
To minimize water consumption, we use a rainwater collection system with two independent reserves: an artificial lake for irrigating green areas in summer and a large underground cistern built into the property.

Our biodynamic vegetable garden, cultivated seasonally, is a fundamental resource for our fine dining restaurant, Il Passaggio. Here, every ingredient is carefully chosen and handled with integrity, with a strong focus on avoiding waste and making full use of each raw material.

We are also on a path toward the complete elimination of plastic, replacing it with environmentally conscious alternatives across all departments.

From resource management to local sourcing, every choice we make is aimed at reducing our environmental impact and honoring the land we call home.
Because making wine and welcoming guests today means taking care of the earth and leaving a light, meaningful footprint.
